Kimberly started her career in tech PR in 1995. She first worked with Jackie Townsend Konstanturos in 1998 and has been part of the Team for more than 10 years. Her experience spans PR and internal communications for Fortune 500 and Global 1000 brands, as well as startups. She currently handles West Coast communications at Bloomberg LP and communication strategies at The Townsend Team. In addition, she teaches the PR Writing course as an adjunct professor at the University of San Francisco. Based on her strong relationships in the editorial community, Kimberly was twice voted among the Top Tech Communicators in PRSourceCode’s annual IT journalist survey.
Recently, Kimberly was a communications manager at U.C. Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. She has also worked at several PR agencies, including BOCA Communications, Hill+Knowlton Strategies, Eastwick Communications (now Hotwire) and SHIFT Communications. She currently volunteers with PRSA—Silicon Valley (director at large), the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Center (marketing communications committee chair), and the Commonwealth Club of California’s INFORUM division (board member emerita and media ambassador). And she has previously represented the Churchill Club and the Computer History Museum pro bono.
