Since 1988 Kat has been creating strategic, attention-grabbing designs for clients of all sizes. She has a very rare ability and passion for understanding client needs and manifesting a visual message aligned to the brand strategy and personality. She wholeheartedly commits to designing for the project, working always as a team player, which has gained her respect and trust from both clients and peers. Most recently, she has been recognized by the PRSA San Diego for best annual report design in the non-profit category.
Unlike many graphic designers who produce variant themes of their own visual style, Kat is able to make each client’s design totally unique. She also synthesizes design concepts influenced by her world travels and three years spent living, studying and designing in Paris. Her expertise spans corporate ID packages, marketing collateral, infographics, annual reports, direct-mail/email, advertising, book covers/publishing, event graphics and website design. She services clients in all sectors, including technology (Peregrine Semiconductor, LightPointe) healthcare (Sharp HealthCare, UC San Diego Health System), manufacturing (PureForge), publishing (EDC, Printers Row), education (UC San Diego IR/PS, San Diego French American School), nonprofit (San Diego Humane Society, San Diego Chapters of the Red Cross and Girl Scouts) and CPG (Extreme Produce, C. Wirthy & Co.).
Kat graduated magna cum laude from San Diego State University where she earned her B.A. in Journalism with an emphasis in advertising and minor in marketing.
